What is a good HP printer to buy with the following features?
I am looking for a HP printer with the following: photo printer,scanner, copier, card reader, uses little ink and uses 2 ink cartridges at a time or, uses the 6 cartridges if there is a very good reason.
Optional features: networking compatible (wireless/wired), Server 2003/2008 driver support. Able to print on a cd/dvd disc.
I mostly want a HP printer that uses little ink if possible. I don't know about how the themal ink jets are now a days. My HP printer is a few years old and it sucks on ink. I have Windows Server on a workgroup (on a seperate drive and partition) and if possible a printer that supports servers.However, It's optional. Price range $200 or less (mostly between $60-150 but, no more then $200). Oh this price range is in Canadian funds. I don't want a laser only printer inkjet.
Any recommendations?
It's up to you, of course, but I would advise against HP printers. I bought an HP Photosmart and it broke within six months. I got another one and it did the same thing within a few months. It will no longer take paper out of the paper feed tray. You have to manually feed it sheet by sheet.
I always liked Epson printers and as soon as my ink runs out on the HP, I'm going to get an Epson.
You might also check out Kodak printers. They cost a little more, but apparently they charge a lot less for their inks than other companies.
