Converting CAD output files to Google SketchUp?
I have CAD output files which were sent to me from my home plan. The program which outputted these files is unknown.
I need to find a way to convert these files to a format which Google Sketchup can import. I believe Google SketchUp can import directly from .DXF or DWG (AutoCAD) or .3DS (AutoDesk 3D Studio). The files which I have appear to be standard OCE plotter output files?
If it's any clue to the solution, the header for each of the OCE files contains the following (followed by thousands of bytes of high level ASCII symbols):
BEGMF "Oce 9400, version_3.2";
MFVERSION 1;
MFDESC "Oce RCF, Version=2.5, Type=Header, Unit=Metric";
APPLDATA 021 "BY=0, RS=1";
APPLDATA 029 "LR=2, TB=2";
APPLDATA 003 "RO=0";
APPLDATA 023 "CI=0";
APPLDATA 014 "PM=0";
APPLDATA 059 "LG=2";
ENDMF;
This is an Oce RCF file.

RCF translation:
021 bypass=manual-feed disabled;
029 left-right-alignment=centered; top-bottom-alignment=centered;
003 rotation=0;
023 cutinfo=sizeofplot;
014 ??
059 language=HP-GL/2 & HP-RTL;
This means that your file (minus the pre-pended RCF file) is an HP-GL/2 file.
Remove the RCF file, and then attempt to import the file w/ a tool that understands HP-GL/2.
