How can i open VOB files in my DivX or windows media player for free? where to install the "decoder"?
I have a bunch of tutorial video DVDs that i can't open them and in DVIX an Error window tells me:
"this video is an unsupported format and can not be played without installing additional direct-show filters".
and in media player tells me: "windows media player can not open this DVD because the compatible DVD decoder is not installed on your computer"
I suggest you be careful with getting codec packs. The result is often that multimedia decoding breaks on some level. I recommend using the VLC player from Video Lan, that has it's own internal codecs and it will play back VOBs just fine (along with an armada of other formats/codecs).
